Mission, Vision, and Values

KENYA BODABODA RIDERS AND OWNERS ASSOCIATION (KBA) is a National apex body, an Umbrella for Bodaboda riders, owners, operators within formed Sacco’s and other safety stakeholders in Kenya.

We are legally registered by the registrar under the MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISE AUTHORITY (MSEA) licensed by NATIONAL TRANSPORT AND SAFETY AUTHORITY (NTSA) recognized by all 47 county commissioners, with a mandate of forming Bodaboda Sacco’s, assist the Bodaboda riders to register and join groups, connecting them to investors, service providers i.e. Insurance companies, Banks, Hailing APPs,etc. and empowerment.
We are the best link between the riders, partners, investors and government institutions as well.

Our vision is to unite not less than 2.523m Bodaboda Riders through formations and assist members on registering BODA TRANSPORT COOPARATIVES(TRANSCOP) former Sacco’s in according to the new COOPARATIVES regulations, which through the Association help in tracing members where necessary, training on PREVENTING VIOLENCE EXTREMISM (P.V.E) through recognized non-Government institution i.e., MALAIKA FOUNDATION, YADEN, COUNTY GOVERNANCE WATCH, PAMOJA FOR TRANSFORMATION, FARIJI, BOYCHILD AFRICA etc. in partnership with all the counties commissioners and the government security Agencies like NATIONAL COUNTERING TERORISM CENTRE (NCTC), NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCIES etc.

We have partnered with institutions like BCK KENYA for offering the systems to affiliated Sacco’s, delivering LASTMILE SERVICES and to provide trainings on road safety to Bodaboda riders through partners in view of reducing criminal cases, road accidents, behavior change and making sure all the riders are trained on the importance of wearing the safety protective gears, observing traffic rules, financial literacy through being in Sacco’s and saving.
